How Positive Are You?

Everyone wants to be more positive, but it’s easier said than done! When school’s tough and everything seems to be going wrong, that last thing we’re usually thinking about is what we’re grateful for. Yet studies have shown over and over that positivity is linked to happiness and success. Here are three easy tips to stay positive so that you can enjoy today:

-  Write down a few things you’re grateful for each night. Even though bad things happen, remembering what you’re grateful for puts your focus on the good stuff. This also helps to put things in perspective as many times we’ll come to see that what we’re worrying about isn’t that big of a deal!

- Surround yourself with positive friends.  It’s so hard to be positive when your bestie is down in the dumps. Of course you’ll be there for her through good times and bad, but be sure that your closest friends are ones that make you a better and more positive person!

- Make the choice to be happy. This one’s tough, but it’s true that we have the ability to change our attitude about a situation! When you realize that you’re being negative, give your self a minute to re-group and then make the decision to be more positive.
